Appearance: Quite cloudy, a light rust color, maybe burnt orange, with a nice thick white head. I’m getting great lacing on the glass and only now realizing that it’s maybe supposed to be pumpkin colored.

Smell: A very light malt aroma, but not much of anything else. Possibly dry fruit.

Taste: After the first sip I noticed that a nice bitterness carries through at every stage of this beer. I liked that a lot. It’s has a very airy mouth feel, hard to place really. I get an almost cake like taste along with peaches. A very enjoyable blend.

Overall: I really loved this beer, but I can not in any good conscience give it a score over 81/100. There’s a great combination of flavors, but the mothfeel and weak smell hold it back.

Up Next: Great Lakes Christmas Ale.
